St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County — Help Line

A phone line for people in Seattle and King County to ask for help with rent, utilities, food and other basic needs. All requests go through the Help Line (phone or online form). A volunteer team from your neighborhood (called Vincentians) then follows up with a home visit to understand your situation and decides what they can give. What you get depends on that team's funds, so help is not guaranteed and not every area may have an active team. Ask what papers to have ready. Services: rent and utility assistance, food and basic needs help, home visits by neighborhood volunteers

Hours: Help Line: Mon-Fri 8:00am-3:00pm. Online request form: Mon-Fri 7:00am-7:00pm.

Phone: (206) 767-6449

Web: https://svdpseattle.org/get-help/

Languages: English and Spanish. Ask about other languages when you call.

Accessibility: Phone and online intake; home visits by volunteers in many areas

Cost: Free

Who can use: People in Seattle and King County. SVdP's pages list no income limit or required papers, but a home visit is part of the process, and what help you get depends on the funds of your neighborhood team. Not every area may have an active team. If a home visit is a problem for you, say so when you call.
